An Evening of Seasonal Spirits at Hellens Manor

This autumn, Hellens Manor invites guests to a chilling night of ghostly tales and classic horrors, featuring the timeless works of M.R. James and Marjorie Bowen.

Audiences will be drawn into the eerie mystery of Number 13, where a traveller discovers that his hotel room harbours unsettling secrets—and that the number 13 is indeed unlucky for some. In Kecksies, two arrogant young lords intrude upon the home of a tenant accused of witchcraft, only to find themselves entangled in a macabre prank with grave consequences. Finally, in Oh Whistle and I’ll Come to You, My Lad, a storm brews along a desolate coastline, and a haunting question echoes through the wind: “Who is this who is coming…”

This one-man performance, directed and haunted by Matthew Wood, promises an unforgettable evening of atmospheric storytelling.
