Hellens – A History In Stitches

Hellens – A history in stitches. An open afternoon on Thursday 16 October from 10:30 to 3pm at Hellens Manor in Much Marcle, near Ledbury.

Since 2017 a team of dedicated Arts Society volunteers have been working on a magnificent crewelwork embroidery, illustrating the story of Hellens Manor from before the Norman Conquest to the present day.

See the ten metre long embroidery displayed in the Great Barn, along with historic research, evolution of the design, extensive samples and source materials.

This is part of a rich history of Heritage Volunteers conservation work and original textiles created at Hellens over the past 21 years.

Hellens Tearoom will be open for refreshments.
