Luxury Basketry Retreat at Hellens Manor

A luxury creative retreat celebrating traditional basketry and natural materials.

Spend one day with Helen Munday weaving a contemporary shoulder bag, and one day with Mollie McMillen creating a richly textured basket from natural plant fibres.  Working in small groups, you will receive expert tuition while exploring two distinct traditions of basket making.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have previous experience you will leave with two unique handmade baskets, new skills and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of natural materials.

Fri, 26th Feb, 2027 – Sun, 28th Feb, 2027 All Day.

Residential course fee: £395 (includes tuition, materials, tools, two nights full board accommodation).

Optional additional Sunday night: £50.

Course fee – non residential: £275 (includes tuition, materials, tools, and lunch on both days).

Accommodation will be in the Georgian Stables at Hellens Manor. Rooms with shared facilities and spacious communal living and kitchen area.

The price (£395 for the full weekend) includes tuition, materials and tools, food, drink and accommodation.

Places are limited to 12 and are on a first come first served basis.  Cancellations accepted until 26th January 2027.
