Carriages
Restaurant
Located just outside Hereford within the Head Office of allpay Limited, Carriages is no ordinary restaurant. Open every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the year for standard bookings or exclusive private hire for 30 to 40 guests, Carriages caters for a whole host of special occasions and promises a memorable experience.
What started as an employee-only restaurant has blossomed into a popular fine-dining experience for people in and around the county. Tony Killeen, Owner and Founder of allpay Limited, always had a passion for fine dining and high-quality wines. In 2020 he decided he wanted to share his passion with the county, and bring his vision of Carriages to life. The name ‘Carriages’ was inspired by Tony’s enthusiasm for trains and the nature of the restaurant’s unique setting, overlooking the old Whitestone railway station.
In a county that is proudly field to fork, the team at Carriages love to innovate with the abundance of ingredients Herefordshire has to offer. Using predominantly locally sourced, in-season produce, we aim to deliver high-quality dishes for a range of appetites, whilst supporting local businesses.
As the restaurant increased in popularity, the team, with an emphasis on quality, created a variety of new ‘experience led’ events for guests. The launch of Carriages wine tasting, and cocktail evenings has been a huge success. Our dedicated wine room offers the perfect setting for an evening of indulgence and an opportunity to learn about different styles of wine from around the globe.
A unique experience, exquisite food, wine and impressive surroundings, it’s too good not to share.
