Located just outside Hereford within the Head Office of allpay, Carriages is far more than a restaurant.

Originally created as an employee-only dining space, Carriages has evolved into one of the county’s most distinctive fine‑dining destinations. Tony Killeen, Owner and Founder of allpay, has long held a passion for exceptional food and outstanding wines. In 2020, he chose to share that passion with the wider community, bringing his vision for Carriages to life.

The name ‘Carriages’ reflects Tony’s lifelong fascination with trains – symbolising movement, discovery, and the timeless elegance of a journey. Just as a train carriage carries its passengers through shifting landscapes, Carriages guides its guests through a sensory journey, exploring the depth and character of British culinary heritage with every course.

Today, Carriages is an award‑winning destination led by Chef Nick Briggs, whose experience spans some of Britain’s most celebrated restaurants. With a mastery for sourcing remarkable ingredients and transforming them into dishes that tell a story, his approach is grounded in authenticity, creativity, and a deep respect for British flavours.
