Lower House Barn

Self Catering

Lower House Barn has been lovingly restored to create a welcoming and spacious environment that you can relax and unwind in from the moment you enter. Sleeping up to 6 people, this charming self-catering holiday let boasts many original features including exposed wooden beams and high vaulted ceilings providing a subtle hint to its original character.

Combined with modern facilities and underfloor heating throughout, Lower House barn is guaranteed to provide the perfect spot for a short stay or week long break with family or friends in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. You will be greeted on arrival with a welcome hamper packed with local Herefordshire produce including some freshly laid eggs from our chickens, which we hope will make your stay even more enjoyable.

The ground floor living accommodation is open plan and patio doors lead out from the lounge and dining area to the walled private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. There is also a full size tennis court and table tennis table available for use on-site throughout your stay.

The Hayloft, on the first floor, the Stable and the Bullpen on the ground floor, all have comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms, the latter having features which make it suitable for disabled access and wheelchair users.

The barn is powered throughout by PV panels and a biomass boiler making it energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

A 7K EV charger has been installed outside the Barn for use by guests, to be charged at current rates.

Lower House Barn is well situated for exploring the scenic Herefordshire countryside by car, including the Wye and Golden Valleys, Offa’s Dyke, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The beautiful Cathedral City of Hereford and the quaint, internationally renowned town of Hay-on-Wye, the ‘town of books’ and famous for the Hay Literary Festival are both approximately 10 miles away and provide the perfect spot for a day trip.
