Dr Michael Gray, Headmaster of Hereford Cathedral School, said: ‘I’m tremendously excited about the Coronation Concert and the opportunity to celebrate such a historic and momentous occasion in the life of our nation. Music is such an important aspect of each of our lives and is used in times of joy and in times of mourning alike. On the occasion of His Majesty King Charles III’s coronation, we are privileged to mark this great event by coming together and harnessing the power of music and collective gathering to celebrate and rejoice together.’

The Very Revd Sarah Brown, Dean of Hereford, said: ‘Since starting in post at similar times, Dr Gray and I have enjoyed working closely together on joint school and cathedral initiatives. This concert of celebration is an especially joyous example of such collaboration, to the glory of God in thanksgiving for our new king.’

Tickets for A Concert for the Coronation, a fundraising event for the Chapter of Hereford Cathedral and Hereford Cathedral School, cost £15 & £10 and are available to purchase from the Cathedral Shop and website.
