Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire recently hosted a Meet the Foodies event at Saxtys Wine Bar, Restaurant & Club in Hereford City for a celebration of local artisan food & drink producers.
Designed to introduce Businesses of a more commercial and corporate nature to the county’s amazing producers, the event encouraged corporate gifting and trade purchases, branded products and awareness of local products to serve in hospitality and tourism establishments.
Saxtys wine bar, restaurant and club in Widemarsh Street was also able to showcase its various spaces to highlight their commercial event areas and to provide a teaser of what will be on their festive menus, with a delicious array of hot and cold canapes served throughout.
Attendees were also treated to complimentary mocktails, chocolate tastings, gin, vodka, cider and liqueur sampling and received goodie bags with discount vouchers and, of course, Eat Sleep Live’s fabulous Food & Drink guide book THE HEREFOODIE. This brilliant glossy booklet tells the stories of Herefordshire’s food and drink creators, the stories behind them and where to buy and experience those products.
ESL’s managing director, Heidi Chamberlain-Jones said…
“To us, destination marketing is not just about Tourism, it’s about doing the best we can for our Members in helping them find routes to market in all sorts of ways. This was a great business-to-business concept and is something with longer term prospects where we hope that local businesses will buy from local businesses and be mutually supportive in these increasingly challenging times”.
If you are a business that missed this event but would like to be directly connected with local craft Food & Drink producers, just look at our Members here and by all means contact them or ask us for an introduction on info@eatsleepliveherefordshire.co.uk
Let’s keep the £££s in the county.
