Visit Horrorford this Saturday and have a Frightfully Good Time

Hereford City Life Halloween Event 2024

Hereford turns into Horrorford on Saturday, 26th October, in High Town for a day of frighteningly good fun and entertainment. The free activities start at 10 a.m. and continue through until 3:30 p.m.

This year’s activities include the Zombie Crawl, where everyone can join in and be judged by the Mayor across five fancy dress categories, a Gruesome Garden Photo Experience, Face Painting, Live Music from local band The Alley Cats, a Trick and Treat Trail, and Scary Snacks Meal Deals at five cafes. This year, a ghost walk for adults has been added in the evening, where your guide will tell the stories of the ghostly goings-on of Hereford’s past.

The Trick and Treat Trail, which runs from the 26 to 31 October, and one lucky person will win a £50 Hereford Gift Card in the prize draw, plus there is a treat at every location. Pick up or download a trail map, visit each location to find the clues, and then take the completed entry form to the Hereford Tourist Information Centre for a chance to win. Trail maps can be collected from Hereford TIC, or you can download one here.

Mike Truelove, Hereford BID CEO and organiser of the event said, “I am excited to host the Halloween event again this year after the success of previous year’s. The Zombie Crawl is very popular with the community and provides a great opportunity to come dressed up to participate. We have amazing fancy dress prizes, live music, a ghost walk around the city and a terrifying Gruesome Garden photo experience. We are proud to be working so closely with our BID members and partners to provide a great event for all ages and provide a boost for the city”.
