Two bakers. One professional, one novice. Brought together through a passion for Real Bread and a mission to share it with the local community.

Peter Cook was Head Baker at Price & Sons in Ludlow for over 20 years, winning Best Speciality Loaf at the Baking Industry Awards and many other top industry awards.

Shona Kelly, a former marketer in London, swapped the city for the country and an office for a bakery.  A home-baker turned pro, learning on the job as she went.

They opened their doors in March 2014 and have since won several Awards, including the top prize at the World Bread Awards and Best Food Producer at the Visit Herefordshire Awards for Excellence for the past two years.

You’ll find no added nonsense in their loaves. Just four ingredients – organic flour, water, yeast (mostly wild) and sea salt. Flavour is developed naturally, with each loaf made slowly by hand over two-three days. This long fermentation provides you with a hearty, nutritious loaf that is easy to digest.

Their best-selling ‘Ledbury Loaf’ is three days in the making and makes great toast for up to a week.

You’ll find their bread and pastries on the shelves of delicatessens, farm shops and butchers across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, as well as on the menu of many of the local cafes and restaurants. Visit their website to find your nearest stockist.
