Maples Tearoom

Maples Tearoom is situated within the grounds of Hergest Croft in Kington. The building dates back to 1896 and in the main tearoom this is evident by the beautiful William de Morgan fireplace which is lit in the cooler months giving you a cosy welcome. The tearoom focuses on homemade, locally produced food with a daily specialises menu. The main menu has a large choice and all allergies are catered for whether you are dairy intolerant, gluten free just ask or give Mell a ring before arriving.

The Morning Room is a lovely room with views over the gardens and you are welcome to bring your dogs as well – snacks are also available for them! Even in the cooler months sitting out on the covered terrace is lovely with an ever-changing view depending on the season. There is another terrace below this where you can sit and enjoy anything from a coffee and cake to a cream tea or afternoon tea.

Small parties and groups can be catered for but need to be pre-booked.

The tearoom is fully accessible as is the bottom terrace with accessible facilities within the main building.

The tearoom is open during the main season from 11.00 with last orders at 4.15 and takeaways can also be provided.  Non- garden visitors also welcome into the tearooms.  In the winter the hours are different so please check our website and daily Facebook posts.
