Newton Court

Restaurant & Cafe

Newton Court houses a restaurant, farm shop, café, tour hub and bar within a purpose built, beautifully designed, spacious building. The 157-acre organic farm it’s located on is also home of the 30-year established Newton Court Cider, famed for its single varietal and blended ciders and perries.

Newton Court is a wonderful place to meet for drinks, home-made cakes, light lunches and hot meals. Herefordshire produce is incorporated into the menu, including Newton Court Cider’s delicious perry, cider and apple juice.  The kitchen team work with local butchers, bakers and farmers to source low food-mile, tasty produce.

Depending on the season and day of the week, the menus change, so it’s best to check before a visit.

Sitting within the restaurant and café you have a choice of views: over to the opposite hillside; an organic orchard, with both venerable and newly-planted cider apple and perry pear trees; through the internal windows to the cider packaging area.  At warmer times of year you can sit outside, which will also bring the barns filled with hay bales for the farm’s Hereford cattle into sight.

Before or after your meal, take a seat at the oak and granite bar to enjoy tasters, halves or pints of perries, ciders and other drinks. On offer is a selection of local alcoholic drinks such as ales, gin and lager as well as the local wine merchant’s recommended wines. The soft drinks list features Newton Court Cider’s apple juice as a must‑try drink, and all the usual favourites.

There’s ample free parking with Newton Court being just off the A49 main north-south road through Herefordshire.

There’s a growing selection of local artisan produce on the Farm Shop shelves to browse after your refreshments.  Cider Mill Tours are held regularly.
