The New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) is a forward-thinking higher education institution specialising in Engineering and Construction. 

Based in Hereford, NMITE is reimagining higher education – in particular how engineers are educated — moving beyond lecture theatres and traditional exams to create a learning experience that reflects the realities of modern engineering practice.

Its distinctive, challenge-led curriculum is built around hands-on, project-based learning, where students work in teams to solve complex problems drawn from industry, society and the environment.

Students develop not only technical expertise, but also critical skills such as communication, leadership, systems thinking and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
