CLOSED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS RISK, PLEASE SEE STATEMENT BELOW:
We have made the decision to close our doors for the foreseeable future as of today. Its not a decision taken lightly but we cannot continue with this uncertainty.
Of course the health of our staff and customers comes first but believe me, my staff & us would prefer to continue to work if we could but it’s not financially viable! I also know I have lots of lovely customers that would try to continue to support us but in reality it wouldn’t be enough to keep the place running and staff paid – expensive places to run these pub/restaurants! Take away/delivery isn’t an option either for various reasons.
I know a few places locally like The Red Lion at Peterstow & Harewood End Inn are staying open so we should support these, then at least they will have a fighting chance.
Thank you to all our customers, we wish you all the best & stay safe. We will hopefully see you very soon when we are out the other side of this madness!
Just a few miles outside Ross in the Wye Valley, set in beautiful rural Herefordshire, The Loughpool at Sellack seeks to combine the hospitality of a traditional country pub with a restaurant that features high quality local produce. The Loughpool offers a pretty, enticing garden where you can enjoy a relaxed summertime drink or meal and in the winter big fires will keep you warm and cosy.
Since re-opening in February 2015, current owners Paul & Svenia Franklin have sympathetically refurbished the buildings’ interior to a tasteful traditional public house. Black and white timbered cottage surrounded by bridleways and walks, simple bars with beams and standing timbers, flagstones, rustic furniture & a wood burner all add to the atmosphere.
The Loughpool is one of the county’s strongest venues for great food, cooked using locally sourced produce and all at a reasonable price with a wide range of local ales and cider and a specially selected wine list. Set in beautiful countryside, the Loughpool offers a pub atmosphere with surrounding walks and connections to Ross and Hereford. Well behaved children and dogs are always welcome.
