Architect Garry Thomas, launched Thomas Studio in 2016: a new design studio now under his own label.
Recognised as a master architect of his generation, Garry was born in Herefordshire and is the son of a long lineage of farrier blacksmiths. With 20 years experience in building design and construction, Garry’s diverse design and planning projects range from helping clients with little upfront outlay to significantly increase the value of their property assets, and if budgets allow to creating spectacular grand designs.
Based in Fownhope, where he was born, Garry has a special interest in assisting those seeking to build properties in rural locations that are traditionally difficult to secure planning in and, as a Top 25 Grand Design architects, Garry has worked on heritage and highly modern projects alike. From the rural idylls of the British countryside to the challenges of London’s urban innovations, his practice Thomas Studio is founded on the principles of good client service, a professional approach, and of course providing a partnering approach to the creating and making of buildings.
With a special interest in rural planning success, Garry is usefully versed in navigating Herefordshire’s planning legislations and has a high success rate for conversion of agricultural buildings, self builds in countryside locations and innovative enhancements of existing dwellings or commercial properties.
